In Life Coaching, we help people who feel stuck move towards their goals. This is a client led process to overcome challenges, improve well-being, create positive change, and accomplish client created goals. This may or may not include horses or other animals based on the client’s needs and desire.
When to Come
Our desire is to help those who are different to feel seen and heard, and to empower those who feel stuck and powerless. Cat mainly works with the neurodivergent and queer communities. Charleen is very skilled working with those who are experiencing chronic or terminal illnesses. They both can help people work through traumas. If needed they also work together with couples and/or families for family coaching.
How it works, and what to expect
Coaching primarily works by utilizing neuroplasticity. This is the brain’s ability to create and strengthen new pathways. When we come across a pathway that is no longer serving our client, we hold space to help them find how they would like to re-route that path.
Most clients need at least 12-20 sessions to accomplish the goals that they set at the beginning of our time together. Sessions last 60-90 minutes. These will sometimes include horses, nature walks, or staying in our office. This will depend on what the client wishes to accomplish and where they are most comfortable.
For couples and family coaching, each individual is required to have three private coaching sessions for every group session.
What Coaching is not
Coaching is not intended to assist with therapy items, or extreme states of disfunction. This is not a replacement for psychotherapy, counseling, advice giving, mental healthcare, or treatment for substance abuse or any addictive behavior. We are not licensed mental healthcare providers.
